CORRECTION: at 3:21 It should be TAGA America or TAGA (anyplace) to say where you are from...NOT TAGA SA. Sorry about that error on the video. Learn Tagalog the easy way. American, Bud Brown teaches Tagalog in an easy to understand way. A fun, easy and entertaining way to learn Tagalog, the national language of the Philippines.

On Filipino VS Tagalog:Filipino is the language which scopes Tagalog, other Filipino dialects such as Ilocano, Bisaya, etc. It allows borrowed-corrupted words with no exact equivalent.Tagalog is an older, more ethnic or "deeper" for that matter. It's a dialect from the Southern part of Luzon (including Manila). Pres. Quezon chose Tagalog to be the base for the Filipino language. That is why even Filipinos cannot draw the line between the two. I learned all bwt this HighSchool Filipino I. :)

Yep, it's "pogi". But it's less formal, though. "Maganda" can also be used for males in the same fashion, but it is rather rarely used in normal conversations. you can actually say "Magandang lalaki ka." which means: You are a handsome man.

Yes, thanks for your comments. I really need to learn more the difference between Tagalog and Filipino. Tagalog handsome= pogi, di ba?

"Amerikano ka ba?" can also be "Ikaw ba ay Amerikano?""Gwapo" is actually not Tagalog (in a strict sense), since it's from the Spanish "guapo". It's more of Filipino (which is a bigger umbrella):)
