classy version of Eddie's song . O'Bryans version made it big in Manchester on release : which considering the Soul snootiness for covers in the North West was an achievement !!!Probably the only other comparison is JB Binghams "other" version" of the Checkmates classic "Mecca monster" - " All alone by the Telephone"

I agree. Although Eddie's version was appropriate at the time (which was in 1977), O'Bryan re-retroed it (with that Teddy Pendergrass Philly-sound) for 1982. Not too many 20 year olds could pull this off!

This song is a remake from eddie holmans's 1977 salsoul lp "a night to remember" which i think is a better version
