For me it's like this: I have not seen to much wushu to have a professional opinion on this; but it's like a dance, yes it's impressive to see a fast and extreme dance - but seeing several after each other will get boring after a while, that's when you need flavour. But nowadays they train wushu all the same, they need to get back some of the other styles of kung-fu, not limiting it

Jet Li also writes at his homepage that he miss the flavour and personal moves of each of the wushu-practitioners - today it's all the same, though faster and higher than before.It's blamed on the categories (chenquan, nanquan ect.)

That was a beautiful display of one of my favorite sports. I want it to be at the Olympics personally. I'm gonna open a mega training facility like in Beijing, here in the states someday.
