DJ or Daljeet, Sukhi, Karan, Aslam and Sonia are 5 friends who having graduated from Delhi University, hesitate to get out into the real world, and still roam the campus. Each of them is feisty and loyal. Into this group comes Sue straight from the UK, all determined to make her film on Indian freedom fighters, despite the shortage of funds. Introduced to the others by Sonia, she develops a strong bond with the rest, and especially with DJ. She persuades them to act in the film, and even woos Hindutva-vadi student party-worker Pandey to take the role of Ramprakash Bismil. Gradually the friends ponder over their roles and the lives of the selfless freedom-fighters, and in the face of a tragedy, realize that they too, like Bhagat Singh and Azad, must take action, to ensure that their now corrupt and poverty-laden country, awakens and the guilty do not go unpunished. How they do it, makes for an engrossing second-half.

If it hasn't inspired you to join the military, police, or politics that is fine. We must take steps to unite as Indians. India is for Indians, no matter, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, or Christian. When we realize we all have a common goal, it will be a lot easier to work with each other instead of against each other.

I am disgusted how people have commented on this video saying the movie had no effect on the Indian people. I am Indian, and I have been inspired by it to join the IAS and work for the political system from inside. What have you done for this country? If you're saying it didn't affect anyone, you're blaming everyone else just the way the movie advocated you shouldn't. In the end, it's you who didn't understand the meaning of the movie, not "the Indian people" you blame.

guess ur grew up on mtv & porn star paris & britney aroudn a stripper prostitute pole.. she is definitely not an INDIAN GIRL...U HAVE OBVIOUSLY NEVER BEEN TO INDIA &KNOW NOTHING OF INDIAN CULTURE FASHION...&MORE SO Indian girls dont grow up worshipping themselves &their blond hair&white skin (aka barbie) we grow up ON RELIGION, VALUES NOT NUDITY. (U.S. HAS PREG RATES 600% HIGHER THN EURO COUNTRIES EVEN). INDIAN GIRLS R RAISED ON SOMETHING BETTER&CLEANER.

well, abt green vs blue eyes discussion lol, yellow hair is a recessive gene (quote from Biology professor)meaning when mixed with dominant black hair/black eyes gene -these r dominant. seen this in real life everywhere..dark skin&features mostly get passed down. true statistic: 5% of the world is true blond cuz it isrecessive, so ultimately 95% of the "blonds" u see r bleached. Reason 4 hair extensions by these women =major damage. NOTICE HOW 95%OF WHITE MEN U SEE R BRUNETTES?? :)this is why.
