Im actually English born, and agree with Coalition1012, it's this mentality which is tearing the UK apart, and turning the other nations of the UK away.I am British first, English second.

Im not Rambling on about anything or who contributed more what i am saying is alot of people posting comments saying it was only England. And the Americans are specially bad for this. Im British before im Scottish im not rambling on about anything

I don't think we need the scot's brigade in here rambling about who contributed more to the union, thank you. The Royal family is that of the UNITED Kingdom and all states within Her Majesty's realm are as important as each-other: End of story.

The history of Britian should be taught in schools, we need to lern of our great country and the people such as Adam Smith who built it,Rule Britannia.

Very true.It was intellectuals like Adam Smith from Edinburgh, who created and promoted the idea of Britishness, and who also led Britain and Europe, in economic and social reform in the 18th centrury. Aswell as even paving the way, that made the British Empire the Greastest Empire that has ever existed.

*Proud to be British thank you. im Scottish but still proud to be British. Scotland, Wales and N Ireland contributed just as much to the union. Not just England
