Thank you Jellycrusher - I was wondering if I was the only person who saw "Love Power" as a parody of The Doors. I think "When The Music's Over" is probably the inspiration - the 'what have we done to the earth' soliloquy in particular. Go and take a look - it'll be on youtube somewhere ...

I guess they didn't include LSD in the remake because he dropped DEAD on stage at San Diego state university in 1985 while preforming. Heart Attack. Google it.

I love it because it's funny, and because the guy slams it down so hard. It's a great performance, as valid as anything else from the 60s.

Every time I watch this scene I crack up. So damn funny.

This is still one of my favorite films of all time, and LSD is arguably my favorite character of all time. This is just an amazing scene.

I'm guessing it's because beatnik bashing is out of vogue. Well I say we BRING IT BACK, DAMMIT!

LSD is one of the best characters in the whole movie and he only had a few scenes. How they didn't include LSD in the remake made no sense to me. Then again, there were a few things missing from the remake, so much that it was less a remake and more of an interpretation.
