Well yes but when I first heard it, it was in Japanses and it is amazing Callas I know is amazing it's just she's not for me ...Yes puccini did write it and I have no clue why I said french when this obviously has spanish undertone... anyway thank you I understand that Callas is amazing and I respect that but I think this piece is better in Japanese. but that is my opinion.

This song is by Puccini, hence it's in Italian. Callas sings it in Italian, just how it is written.

I am sorry I tried to give Callas another chance and she didn't wow yet again I like her it's just this song should be in japanese!!! and she sings in french amazing singer at least her high notes aren't that bad in this piece.

I can never get Victoria de los Angeles's Butterfly out of my head. Forty years and she still drives me crazy, well with anything she deoes. Callas never quite does it for me.

GOD YES! I feel like an anachronism at 55! Imagine what it's like to mention people like Callas, Schwarzkopf, Rubinstein, Arrau, Lipatti, Ponselle, Menuhin etc. to my students and just get back blank stares.......
