i absolutely agree with you.Ike was a musical genius and he immediately recognized Tinas huge talent.i hate what he did to Tina but i certainally would never deny his huge contributions to modern music or the fact that he launched Tinas career.

Perhaps the word "owe" is too strong. But you have to admit Ike launched Tinas career and he is certianly owed credit for that. Now you might not agree but even Tina herselfs admits to that. He (They) had personal problems and that life but the history of Ikes influence to Tina's success cannot be ignored. And that is real...

noone loves Tina more than i do or hates more what Ike did to her but i feel Ike got more than his share of payback while he was still alive, watching Tina rise to the top while his own life lay in the shambles of his own making.lets give the devil his dues and recognize his great contribution to modern music and give him his place in history that he rightfully deserves.

ike turner was a musical genius regardless of his drug addiction and violent nature.ike had a horrible childhood which no doubt helped to shape his personality.miles davis was the same,a misogynist.his violence toward woman is well documented.he was also from east st louis.noone denies his musical genius.tina gave an interview some years back and spoke very tenderly of ike and said in the beginning, before the drugs"ike was a very special person"...........

tina doesnt own him a GD thing!!!! she paid her dues with blood and suffering!!!!the world owes ike for his contribution to modern music,he was a musical genius and the original architect of rock and roll and that is a matter of history but as far as Tina oweing him?? get real!!!!
