he is a robot that is actually in the future and this was his wish, to see 'mummy' when she was dead for ages, along with everyone else. He has been told that by the end of the day, 'mummy' will disappear again. He realises that he will live forever without her, but as he is a robot he can't die, so he tries to fall asleep with er, and is successfull.

i cry every time i see this its just sooo sad! i won this film as a dvd on a charity stall and watched it for the sake of it, so i really wasn't prepared for what was to come! i love and hate this film at the same time as it is soo well made but makes me cry like crazy. Thank you soo much for uptting it up as i had problem swhen i tried!
