Sid18a, and what is your take on the election and who would you nominate for cabinet posts? I have no anomosity toward Obama, and am giving him the benifit of the doubt. He may indeed turn out to be a very good president. I'm interested in your thoughts.

Yup. Everyone loves us again. The birds are churping more loudly. The homeless (bums) are more kind. The sun is shining more brightly. Even the terrorists are sterilizing the knives that they use to cut off our heads... Well, we'll just see how long that lasts, won't we? Oh, wait a second... Too late. Guess those terrorists in India didn't get the memo.

I also find it interesting that most of western Europe, who so much dispised us yesterday( and everything american), now admires the US again overnight."Oh, we have so much to learn from the Americans". Thats not a bad thing, but the apparent shallowness of the reports from Europe both before and after the election, is worth remembering. As if Europe really was important to begin with. But, I guess we are "in vogue "again.

The more I hear and the more I read, it seems the "Chosen one" will be free to exercise any policy he wishes in the world, no questions asked. I do not agree with his "go after Osama, kill the Taliban, free the quantanimo prisoners" as I believe thats all being done to little avail. But I suspect, as well, if he wanted to nuke Iran tommorrow, the media and intelligensia would all be " of course, why didn't the evil Bush and Cheney think of that, its so simple." Interesting.
