... I fully understand and agree with ur point, however Enfield co as creators r fine. Audience in studio fine... but here in Essex believe me, a character like'Loads of Money' cud not be parodied then or now; a TV audience may be laughing at the irony but still sadly too, at northerners without jobs :(Or for missing the 'art' in CLOCKWORK ORANGE whilst aroused n excited by the brutality.On n on... I quote this line at various men at work at home n wherever I am treated like a 'Stepford Wife'

It is the nature of Satire to emulate the thing it is parodying and attacking.This is IMHO one of the all time classic British TV comedy sketches.The butt of the joke here is not women; the audience you hear are laughing at the absurdity of the sexism displayed by the men. |
