Oh get over they do sound similar and thats why I said COldplay would love to sound like this. Cant deny the similarity though. And yes I agree this still more sophistivated to use your term.

Stop comparing Patrick Watson with Coldplay!! This is completely different! Patrick Watson is more sophisticated with an incredible voice, an original style and amazing sound effects.

I hear a little bit of Coldplay in this music. Maybe its just his voice but Coldplay probably like to sound like this.
