I hate the whole 'Teach Both Sides' thing!Cos if they do it'll be like 'Thats Evolution, teaching kids about Natural Selection and how animals evolve and progress, and then there's Intelligent Design, telling kids how stupid evolution is and how if you believe in it you're equally stupid'How is that a fair argument?

Cindy McCain is home upstairs, she's a lot more aware than either her husband or Sarah Palin. Can't say I agree with her (especially on creationism) but at the same time I would much rather she be VP than Palin, who is perhaps the most nitwitted hagbag I've ever seen enter into national politics.

Cindy is a fascist and a moron. She wants to allow the majority to legislate their values onto the minority regardless of their rights and she wants to teach iron age superstitions in science classes across the country. People like her are dangerous and should be opposed with every fact and ounce of rationality we have and with violence if necessary.

forget creationism, if you want to learn that then go to church, not in school

Schools need to do a better job at teaching creationism, evolution, or what ever you want to call it. Honestly, my school district didn't do anything to teach creationism or sex ed in school, i had to learn this for myself.

I agree Beam, church's perhaps should take a little more responsibility in educating their children by introducing these subjects into their religious curriculum. I mean they think it's fair to encroach upon secular schools their ideas why shouldn't it be the same for both? Methinks some christians dislike the idea of the nursery being invaded by a myriad of ideas and knowledge less it inconveniences their agenda's. ie: breeding mindless drones. I feel sorry for those kiddies.

You are an evolutionist and you believe creationism AND evolution should present two explainations for the origins of earth? LOL you are NO evolutionist. Evolution is Science and Creationism is BELIEF and never the two shall meet in the same 'class' No evolutionist would confuse the two and imply that creationism is scientific. So what is your problem with global creation myths being taught as religious beliefs and myths in our schools under that or a similar tag?

I am an evolutionist, but I think it is ridiculous to suggest that evolution should be taught in churches. It's a church, and its purpose is to provide a place of worship. The purpose of a school is to provide you with information so that you may learn. A school, in my opinion, should present creationism and evolution as two possible explanations for the origins of life on earth. They should also point out that evolution and creation are in no way mutually exclusive.
