CatRem: Kempff is definitely for Beethoven. I am pretty sure. But "Horowitz maybe for Mozart" is the most stupid comment i've ever seen on youtube. His Mozart sucks. His Suhubert wasn't the best either. He is for Chopin and Liszt and Russian composers generally.

This piece best displays Kempff's extremely lyrical playing. The slower passages give him room for rubatic interpretation, at which he excels.

I think Kempff is the only pianist we have recordings of that really captures the urgency of this piece...
