Sorry to hear that man. I've seen a few psychiatrists in my life. Once for dyslexia and later in life for recurring phases of depression. I never had to take any prescriptions, looking back I'm so lucky because I knew nothing. I know nothing can solve your problem now, but I brought my depression under control by eating very healthy and natural foods to the exclusion of processed and refined foods. If you ever feel down, then try it, I am sure you'll feel better no matter what your health is.

The antidepressants and antipsychotics I was on did really awful things to me. When I was 14 I was put on some very dangerous drugs that caused some really awful things to happen. I just had these doctors that thought that putting me on as many drugs as possible would help my anxiety when it really did so many horrible things to me and since I was a teenager I didn't realize it was the drugs. Antipsychotics and antidepressants were awful for me.

I was given antidepressants when I was 12 and antipsychotics when I was 14 for off label use. The side effects they had on me were horrible, it would take too long to tell. I was put on antidepressants, antipsychotics, stimulants, mood stabolizers and benzodiazepines to treat anxiety that was caused by the stimulants in the first place. The side effects of these drugs were awful. I was on them from age 12 to 20. Antipsychotics are the worst. The things they did to my body and my mind sucked.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I wonder, though, how many people suffer this kind of thing after being given the so-called "anti-psychotics". Perhaps my case is unique in that when I was forced to take Haldol the last time I was a nursing mom (It would have caused a prolactin surge.). I'm finding it difficult to find any info about other women experiencing what I have. Perhaps they tend to keep it to themselves, as it has also been very difficult for me to talk about.

anti-depressants are the absolute worse thing i have ever experienced. after loosing a dear friend, my docter suggested i go in ssris due to my lack of interest an anything and loss of appetite. i was put on paxil. aside from the disinterest of sexual desire; you have aweful withdrawl symptoms if you dont take it at a regular time, you suffer from panic attacks, have intense nightmares, weight gain, . i am tapering off of it slowly but some of the side effects will remain permanent.
