This seems like a pretty stupid thing for ugly fat chicks to be upset about. Since the beginning of photography over 100 years ago, people have always wanted to look good in pictures. People have always insisted in being photographed in nice clothes, with proper lighting, and from the best angle. None of that helps fat chicks so they are destined to complain.

it is because of the human obsession with remaining attractive to the opposite sex. the exact trends change but some of the more biological, physical traits that we find attractive stay the same. the media takes advantage of this obsession (which has existed for thousands of years) and plays it into making us strive for something and encourage us to be more vigorous consumers.
