Did you listen to him at all. He is talking about the occupied territories. Arabs cannot vote, are not allowed into jewish only areas, are subject to search and seizure sans probable cause, can be kidnapped and murdered by the IDF at any time

In Israel it is about race. Ashkenazi minority on to, Separdic and Mizrahi jews in the middle, east asian and black jews towards the bottom and finally palestinian whether moslem or christian on the very bottom. The Ashkenazi are not religious the are secular/athiest marxist/communist from east europe. Where is Ariel Sharon's yarmalke? He does not wear one because he does not beleive in god but calls hime self jewish.

Listening to M. Fletcher made me giggle. The comparison between Apartheid era S.A. and modern day Israel cannot be made at all. And all of you commentators who diss Israeli democracy should get your facts straight. If Israel is not democratic, how can Arabs sit in the Israel Parliament as full members? How could Arabs vote, own land, and businesses inside Israel? They can because they are citizens in a democratic land. Mr. Fletcher's hatred towards Jews is horrible and typical of the uber-left.

israel has democracy only whiin jews, when it comes to palestinians they are using a taktik to make as much instability and bring fear to the palestinians home untill the basicly get enogh and leave, that is why israel have many political agremants about imigrating palestinians to europe and other countrys, by akcepting to many palestinians you are basicly duing the zionest a fawer

An amazing omission to this discussion is Zimbabwe; what was formerly known as Rhodesia. All too often, American commentators, especially black ones, leave out this glaring example of a settler state. This one is more extreme than South Africa, America, and even Israel, because it is so young, less than 100 years old. This is more dangerous than the others because it truly is an IKEA flat-pack put-up-a-tent make $1billion then go home country. The economic players can easily fold up and go to UK

There are differences between the coutries listed. South Africa is unique in the appalling treatment of blacks during apartheid. The whites who live in SA have a more stable right to live there than the Israelis do. This makes Israeli security more important. Whites in South Africa are accepted as coevals, they belong there. This applies to a lot of the others, but the Israelis are there just because there was literally no where else to put them, literally no one else(even US,UK,EU) wanted them

Actually despite their policies they do follow the rule of law and are therefore, a democracy which has separate bodies such as the Parliament (Knessett)which is the legislature, the judiciary, the prime minister's office all which check the powers of one anoother and hold each other accountable therefore a working democracy. Jews have never attempted systematic genocide only 20000 palestinians have been killed since the conflict and 7000 Jews b(Amnesty International). |
