I one blew a fattie with Jimi in NYC, when the first album cam out, I think it was 1967. He was playing the "Nite Owl" in Greenwich Village, on the same show wit Richie Havens, and and "The Youngbloods." We were constant inhabitants of the Nite Owl, ans we just went backstage when Havens was on, and caught Jimi smoking a dubbe, se just sat down next to him and he was very cool. Its a great memory
