He embodies an idea that they percieve to be a good one. In the case of Libea, this is soley through cognitive deduction, not intuition, thanks to prozium. Thus, they think that he's worthy of respect.Thinking and feeling are seperate things. Thinking is a very concious action, feeling is not.

This is a movie about a dystopian society. I don't know what you're trying to prove in your statement about emotions and etc. It's like the book "Brave New World" or the movie "Gattaca".

Dumb movie, some behaviours and actions are based/ founded upon feelings and emotions.They still use some of those. In the propaganda video the speaker clearly shows pride. The superiors show emotions. If humans did not feel they do not live, think it through how every thing is somehow related to and emotion. Action reaction, the only thing they do here is change the reaction, they still feel emotions.
