I think I remember them having the record for highest decibels at a show. The fish in the nearby pond were all killed and floating. Many people lost significant hearing from attending their shows.

Actually it was 'shrapnel' from his cymbal that he got in his left shoulder - and Pete's hair temporarily caught on fire lol - but this is one of the reasons Pete has hearing problems today (not to mention the Who were known as the loudest band when they were at their peak)
