they can be used, but i doubt he used them with single coils i could be wrong though

Ive seen James hetfield (the lead singer of Metallica) use them.They can be used for metal.

nah man unless you plan on getting humbuckers put in, teles are definitely not made for metal

hey i gotta good question. i am getting a telecaster delux but i mainly am going to use it for distortion. do you think it is going to sound better than my esp ltd? my esp was 450 dollars new... the guitar im getting is 1,000... its going to sound better in metal to rite?

Hey! that is not a Fender or Squier Telecaster... if it is.. maybe i just wrong :) but i cant see the "Fender" or "Squier" :S
