I wish I could be a Marine, but I live in a country that doesn't have a real military.

This vid brought tears to my eyes. Not just becuz my son went thru it & saw combat in Iraq. But becuz I know, thru him, that it takes a special kind of person to even just make the commitment to join the marines. He swim-qual'd with dubl-pneumonia & tried to hide an ankle the size of a softball until his DI found out (got held back until ankle got better) becuz he didnt want ppl to think he was a wuss & becuz he didnt want to dishonor our family name. Thanks to all Marines, past & present!

There's a reason why the Marine Corps is the smallest military branch and more then half the people who join don't make it through boot camp. Army is tough but not "50 times tougher" then Marine's training. EVERY MARINE IS A RIFLEMEN ;]JUST BE GLAD THEIR BOTH ON THE SAME SIDE FIGHTING FOR THE SAME REASON(s), TO MAKE SURE AN EVENT LIKE 9/11 DOESNT HAPPEN EVER AGAIN.

yeah right making marines by breaking the spirit of young men and women. just great. not disrespecting all the marines but if been in the army and their training 50 times tougher so i know what i am talking about
