all smart cars has a rear wheel drive because it has a back small engine so they are all rear wheel drive

Hmmm, you mean a Chevette with a Hyabusa engine? I have a chevy 350 I could cram into it maybe, just need a tranny. Thanks!

Yeah they are rear wheel drive but my guess would be they replaced the entire drive train and made it chain driven to make it easier to use the hayabusas engine/transmission. A hayabusa engine has about 180hp stock so yes its enough power to make a smart car do donuts. But do the world a favour and don't "soop-up" your geo metro. If you want a small cool car to mod get a Chevette because they are already RWD and cheap.

Are Smarts rear wheel drive? Just curious. I don't know crap about Cycles, just didn't think a cycle engine would be strong enough to push a car that fast, and didn't know how they would use the transmission. It's be cool to have a fast ass Metro though, blow people away at the light! Maybe Suzuki makes another engine that would work that I can soop up.

Everything about your comment is wrong unless your planning to make your geo metro RWD, and what didn't you think would be strong enough?
Paganwarrior2000 (January 1, 1970 at 7:29 am)
That's insane, i didn't think that'd work, much less be strong enough. I have an old Metro that could use some sprucing up though....

This is the most stupid thing I've ever heard of...but it's AWESOME!

Is this a Hayabusa like the motorcycle? Did they put a motorcycle engine in this thing? |
