you prove his point though, if it was a women saying she didn't get the job because she was a women, you would be more inclined to think that it WAS because she is a woman not because she wasn't suited for the job. where as if feminism was about equality you are directly proving his point of it being about power control as you already assume he would get the job because he is a man and the reason he got turned down was because he wasn't good enough..
