I'm confused. He played rise on his turn. The Loxodon was already in play. So, what dose this guy mean " It wasn't there during resolution"?

It's a question of strategy. If you don't think your opponent has an immediate answer, you should put the pressure on so that they don't have time to draw into anything useful. If you do think they have an answer or two, then by all means play it safe and don't over-extend.

Maybe Brain had something in his hand he didnt want Persecuted or Casigated or hoped to draw some of the cards he needed off the Cloister...He Maindecks 1 Leyline of the Void and probably had just forgotten to side it out... Dont ask me why he maindecks 1 but it helped him once in a match we played... I was playing Dralnu.

I think Bryan got greedy in the last game... When you have a creature with regenerate, and your not under particular pressure, why stress it up and tap out? I think he should have dropped the Cloister instead and gone for the long game.

Heh, yeah it's usually good to know what you can transmute for in your own deck. I wonder how many times in the tournament he did that without anyone noticing. Also why'd he transmute for the Cloister Game 2? While he didn't know Evan had another Heirarch, I think Tendrils, Damnation, or Korlash seems so much better in that situation. Also, why board in Leyline of the Void? Seems like some card disadvantage to me. |
