So well you got the same enigma for 232 years. Not sure if it's still working, but it isn't the worst.The point is, that the USA is the world leading power. And that's good. I rather live in world ruled by the US than by Russia or China.Therefore Europeans have a big interest in the US doing right things. And sorry, but the last republican-administration was the reason for this financial crisis. Probably it would have gone better if Bush would have listened more to the closed allies, in Europe
