I was really young when this song came out but I like The Cure nowadays. My first memory of the cure was when I was about 8 years old and these really hot teenage girls were lying on a blanket in the park listening to the cure. Probably high, I dont know. Just care free times when Grandpa Ron ran the country and there werent any terrorist attacks or wars. Not a bad time to grow up. At least in the suburban mid west.

I think "Wish" is an amazing album and I look at it like the sister album of "Disintigration".Those two albums are like the way Kid A and Amnesiac are from Radiohead. "Wish" is simply phenominal and is more of a bright album whereas Disintigration is dark and spare.

I will never forget either.I perfectly remember listening to it in my walkman at the bus stop on my way back from school.the sky had this dark blue colour, evening was settling in.You could tell it was spring.

This was when the cure got to the pensioners wasn't it? Dear oh dear - really dire lyrics. Crawley at its worst.Remember all those who lost their lives 1914-1949 and on. God bless their bravery

I'll never forget when this album came out. The Cure was riding a high wave on the success of Disintegration and the Love Song Single. People had gotten so acustom to a more melancholy feel from The Cure that when this album came out with all its perky energy and new sound everybody lost their minds. I remeber hearing all the complaints. I pointed out though that no matter how much the subject matter changes in the songs, Robert Smith and the crew always give it the unique "Cure" sound.
