To me all religion is crap as well. But my comment was in fact criticizing the idea of "god" punishing south asian for following their traditional rituals. That's why I mentioned the religious time line. I don't follow any religion nor have any belief in gods, but I believe that people criticize other cultures when their own culture is as absurd.

You're saying that God is punishing them...Before you judge them take a look at you. You're basing judgments on a belief in god. From the outside perspective you're being as wrong as you think they are. Before you label an entire nation make sure you know that Hinduism is significantly older than Christianity. And I apologize if I'm being quite rude but cultural hatred is the maximum level of ignorance that humans can fall into.
