Spartans were the toughest warriors in human history. Not just Greek history. I've never seen a society so focused around creating the perfect warrior in my life. If anyone can think of a more hardcore warrior society let me know.

I'm unconvinced by the Alexander the great link- being that he was a 5ft(-)deeply iffeminate bisexual- albeit a great millitairy mind. Doubt he was the greatest hand to hand combatant in the world- there is certainly no record or anecdotal evidence to suggest he was.

You are right.However, modern Pankration has the same spirit as ancient one, which is the most important thing for mixed martial arts.

You are talking about Kenyapithecus, which was part of a great migration of apes in Africa. We are talking about men with fire and tools, and new evidence that prooves human is differnt from ape and started in Greece.

The remains of a small humanoid figure proven to be the ancestor of "cave men" commonly referred to as "Lucy" were found in Africa and are dated to be around 20 million years old. Human life started in Africa.
