It cannot hurt me or anyone in my family. We are US citizens and therefore our rights are not and cannot be suspended. The only people who have anything to worry about are non citizens and I would love to give them more of an incentive to not commit crimes.

Do you not understand this is a government of the people. We rule ourselves. We make the laws we live by. Habeus Corpus is a right that protects US citizens and it is not dead to us. We are just going to stop applying it to people who are not supposed to be hear.

Why do people think this can't affect them - it could affect ANYone. Put yourself in the most unfortunate situation anyone could be in - think about how it would feel, because it can all happen to anyone - no one is immune.
