Khmer Cultural Preservation, Inc. was founded by Cambodian-American volunteers with the endeavor to preserve and promote Cambodian culture, traditions, arts, and heritage. KCP's mission is to host and organize cultural events and traditional activities in honor of the Cambodian people, especially the 40,000 plus residents of New England. We have just finished the festive celebration of Khmer New Year (Bonn Choul Chnam Thmey) on April 16th, 2004, which was greatly enjoyed by thousands.On Saturday, July 16th, KCP will host the 1st Annual Khmer Cultural Festival, a traditional celebration of Khmer's appreciation of Mother Earth, Water, Nature and Prosperity, at the Heritage State Park-Sampas Pavilion, Lowell, MA from 10am to 8pm. Last year, this Festival brought a flourish of 10,000 plus participants from all over Massachusetts, New England, and other parts of the United States.We count on community and businesses' supports to fund this significant celebration of the Khmer people. khmer culture is so beautiful.. yet you guys making it look so bad . Should be ashamed. You guys representing the hood but not the "khmer blood". The culture you all representing is anything but KHMER! Some of you might get mad and using inappropriate language toward me. Please don't, I don't play childish game.

Why all these stupid khmer kids want to be black so bad? They think black culture is cool? I hate the fucking hip hop and rap, they sound disgusting and criminals, it's the thugs music,only the stupids like these kind of so call: music. And Asian girls with blond hair!! they look like kangaroo. Your yellow or brown skin don't go together O.K? if you don't like yourself or your culture just denounce who what you are. Most good decent khmer don't like you betrade our culture.

"Stick with your culture" but what is Khmer culture? All cultures borrow from other cultures, and Khmer brought Buddhism from India, so should Cambodians stop being Buddhists because it came from India as well?
