Message to dragonxlove: You poor pathetic baby. You got scared when you heard Harry sing "...when the nights are gay" without first troubling yourself to discern the meaning of "gay". Well sweetheart, if a three letter word is going to scare you maybe you should dig a hole and bury yourself because life is filled with a multitude of much scarier things than that big three letter word "gay".

I grew up in 60s/70s Los Angeles hearing this song. I had no idea Harry B was such a dish! Funnily enough, as a child I assumed the song was about his daughter. It was only upon hearing it many years later, as an adult, I thought it might be about a lover. Glad to see the original [?] video, but does it answer the question?

There is nothing wrong with his strumming. Harry is holding way back on the beat, that's all. It's also very heavily syncopated.

Hey guy's why don't you check out the Bollywood version of this song! It's a copy of this song, just type up: Dtective do chamakti aankhon... And you shall hear it for yourself! Year of release (1958) movie (Dtective) |
