I think the main purpose of this song was to show off their new prize in Nels Cline :)

We started off at Wilco, thinking we'd leave halfway through to catch the tail end of the Rage show because Wilco would for sure be back through their home town and Rage almost assuredly not (at least for a long time). We could NOT leave this show...they played that well. I couldn't imagine having a better time at a show...not too many people, great music, about 50 people in a huge group just dancing our asses off...awesome stuff.

As for who pwnd who it just depends on what you're into. I love both of these bands. If you've never seen rage by all means, see them. Who knows how many more chances you'll get. Whereas Wilco is just going to get better and better and better. Being able to tell your kids you saw Wilco in 2009 will be like our parents who were able to say they saw the Grateful Dead in '72.

Are they singing that they don't want to go to Japan?I want to see their performances once.

one of their best songs in my opinion

i love both. but i had to see rage because it is a once in a lifetime opprotunity, and i saw Wilco 3 nights in a row before. Rage kills them so much as a live band tho. i love em both, remember that.

just want to add to the discussion of rage vs. wilco. They are totally different. I have personal preference for wilco because after awhile, Rage just is noise. Yeah, it sounds cool and has cool riffs, but Wilco has pathos and rich emotions. Both are acceptable versions of music though. |
