Science is not the antithesis of religion. Isaac Newton wrote more about Christianity than science. The protestant revolution provided a means for people to think for themselves (being able to read the Bible and realize the Catholic church was corrupt)and ultimately led to the science of the renassiance as a means of understanding the creation of God. The only people who want science to be the antithesis of God is people who do not believe in God.

Alpha, you would of cringed when FDR prayed with America for over 6 minutes before D-DAY, or hearing one of JFKs speeches that invoked the name of God and being in his will.

alpha, I'm an atheist, but most religious people in the U.S. embrace BOTH science and religion. It's only a minority of God-believers (the crackpots, really) who don't embrace both.

Damn horny, that is exactly what i am thinking. I would vote for this guy in a second but have one reservation...ENOUGH OF THE GOD BS ALREADY. If you choose to believe, fine keep it out of politics. On the other hand (7:30 mark) he says "a science & tech based economy provides more choices of higher quality at a lower cost" Implicit in that statement is science, which is the antithesis of religion. So on balance I think I can support this guy whole heartedly.
