America did not take down the Berlin wall, neither did it's president (reagan) and neither did MTV (though they will put their name and flag on it.) It was an outstanding effort by people who wanted better lives, not the famous U.S. meddling that has destroyed so many countries.

the myth of ronald reagan single-handedly bringing down the soviet union is just another page in a long history of historical misrepresenatations and disturbing hero worship in this country, in addition to a complete ignorance of the complex nature of historical events. there ARE other actors besides the all-mighty and all-righteous united states for christ's sake.

Nothing to do with Reagan. Had to do with those brave people. When those people marched the soldiers could have ended it. Could have shot and it was a done deal. They didn't. They thought for themselves. When they refused to fire on their own people. The World Changed.

Uh... I hit a sensitive string here? You are stupid judging people over internet. The fall of the Iron Curtain was not triggered by the US but was something that these people did themselves and it is NOT a US only "victory" as to my original response to xThemalemodelsx. streetparade at least gives some foundation. Don't get me wrong, I respect what the US did to help Europe in desperate times, but a Youtube comment is not a reason to go shitting over someone via internet, that's just lame.

wow. you are freaking moron. Have you been to those countries. They know the contributions that the USA and Britain and the Pope made. They know we backed them. Get an education, get a freaking education, not an indoctrination. Hell, buy a fricking plane ticket and go ask the people in those countries how the USA helped them.Yes, I have been there.

Looks like another liberal college student who was taught a jaded view of U.S. History through his entire education. Making the claim that the U.S. had nothing to do with what was happening in Europe at that time is the same as saying the USSR didn't have anything to do with it also.Listen to me, child, ask someone who was living in eastern europe from 1961 on, and get them to tell me that the U.S. had nothing to do with it. Until then take your liberal falsities and shove them up your ass.
