Huckabee has an appeal most Republicans don't - Mike Huckabee doesn't hate poor people. Most Republicans hate poor people and will do anything they can to screw them. Huckabee actually seems to like poor people, and since he's a Christian and has regular values it makes him very popular with a large segment of America.Unlike most Republicans, Huckabee got 40% of the Black vote in his state, after all most African Americans are Christians and fanatical church-goers.
