Highly likely they were performing on TOTP and Marc was also on the bill to mime along to their record too. In them days TOTP was THE programme to appear on, its what got your record up the charts. Those were the days!!

It's so great to rediscover this. I was 15 when Mud, Sweet, ELO, T-Rex ... ruled the charts. And I still like them. Furthermore, I cannot imagine we will still hear all the actual wanna-be bands again over 20 years. Hope to check it again then :-)

am i glad that i wasn't a young adult in those terrible 70's, because music sucked real bad, and this is the living proof of that. Now i'm going to find my self a slade video and make fun of them too, because they look even more silly than these idiots.

Re the Marc Bolan Scarf - Blimey, well spotted! Look at Mud though - they just had so much fun, didn't give a toss how daft they looked. I absolutely loved them!
