No bridle on the horse means that all the manuevers must be asked for with the legs, voice and seat of the rider. It requires good training basics. This is a 6 year old Appaloosa stallion named YOR High Noon - owned, trained & shown by Roger Johnson of Asquith, Saskatchewan, Canada. This video shows the first time High Noon was asked to perform without the bridle. (Filmed in 2001) Visit us at www.reining-appaloosa.com

HiRoger is used to riding with romal reins for working cowhorse, so he seems to automatically hold his arm out and up like he does when holding the romal.

I was taught to rest my extra hand on my thigh. Is that right? It kinda looks like a chicken when he holds his arm out like that! lol

YOR High Noon is a 100% color producing stallion. The color pattern he has is called "few spot leopard" and can be described that he is "one large spot". He has a white hair coat, but black mottled skin.

Even plain horses can be Appaloosas. It's all in the blood my friend.

I'm teaching my horse to do that. I was bored so I put a leadrope around his neck and dropped the reins and was bareback. He did much better that I would have thought, because he was being good enough to let me jump him bareback with a leadrope around his neck. xD
