My thoughts on the accents across N. America. You might think i am a goofy nerd but it's a fact. I am trying to solve the "aboot" (about) issue. Americans tend to merge their sentences together. I think it is more "aboat" Not "boot" a boot is what you where on your foot. Irish say "aboat" Scottish say "abut" ocassional "aboot" but rare. Day Crockey is from Tenessee by the way, so sorry!

thank you for finnalyy clearing that up!its so annoying when americans make fun of canadians of how we talk when we don't speak that way!yes we do kinda relax our words a bit but none of that boat crap.and americans say clock like clack and they just souund reealy abnoctious AND they call us annoying!

Very amusing. As a resident of Manitoba (vying with Newfoundland as Canada's most ridiculous accent) I am actually glad that ther're foreigners who c'n speek Caneejan. Guid joab, mates.
