great idea, i was looking for some info on textures and wasnt sure what would be most informative, going to a class in-world or the wiki files...i like this best! thanks

Excellent work Eric. I would have been building on day 1 if I'd have had access to such a nice "first step" guide. In fact, I might go back and alter some of my textures to improve the sim performance too :-)
