Fred Astaire should have won the Oscar for this. Hands down. Do you agree?

Mcqueen turned down First Blood, The French Connection,Dirty Harry,One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest,Apocalypse Now,Play Misty For Me,Close Encounters and Fort Apache The Bronx and fell out with Paul over billing in Butch Cassidy so bailed, which is a damn shame because it would have been awesome with those two icons in.i mean robert redford come on lol i dont watch it anymore after i found that out.R.I.P Paul not only a talented actor, one of the best!, but also a lovely human being.

As much as i love Paul and his films it has got to be said Mcqueen stole every scene they were together in do you not think?

Towering Inferno starred Steve McQueen who demanded that He get first and top billing over Paul Newman who shrugged and said whatever. Great Paul! Also starred Faye Dunaway, and legends Fred Astaire, Jennifer Jones and Bill Holden. This is a fun movie to watch with great stars. Richard Chamberlain and Robert Wagner also fill out the fine cast.

In 1975 I,ve first seen The Towering inferno at multiplex in Norridge,Illinois. and it was one of the best movies of the 70's. Now i,m feeling sort of sad because One of my all time favorite actors Paul Newman died on late friday of cancer at 83. I grew-up watching his movies on the big screen, on TV, video, cable, and DVD,Good-bye Paul Newman we'll miss you a lot. Farewell to the blue eyed icon and Thanks. Paul Newman 1925-2008 :(
